RESUMO
Para atender os anseios da sociedade o texto jornalístico evolui desde que surgiu em grande escala a partir do século XV. A forma interpretativa de escrever ainda se aprimora e dá origem a um texto mais próximo do real. Essa busca pela precisão e imersão do leitor no fato se caracteriza como uma corrente batizada de novo jornalismo. Gay Talese e Tom Wolfe são autores precursores do new jornalism que surge nos Estados Unidos nos anos 1960 e chega ao Brasil como jornalismo literário. Essa vertente visa utilizar os elementos da literatura na reconstrução da notícia, contextualizar o assunto para o leitor e resgatar os ideais de cidadania que envolvem o processo da comunicação. Essa forma de escrever ganha cada dia mais espaços em jornais, revistas e, sobretudo, angaria leitores que se identificam com a qualidade do texto. Uma das vertentes do jornalismo literário é o livro-reportagem que extrapola os limites do factual e une a profundidade que o assunto merece com a qualidade e leveza da redação. Para executar as etapas de produção de um livro-reportagem foi escolhido como tema a Pastoral da Criança que há 26 anos realiza um trabalho de diminuir as vítimas de mortalidade e desnutrição infantil. O movimento tem como base milhares de voluntariados, que através de metodologia simples e barata, alcançam números impressionantes. Este trabalho foi dividido em duas partes: os conceitos teóricos e discussões desde jornalismo até a vertente literária e a parte prática que é a produção do livro: "De volta à vida - a luta de quem ajuda a salvar crianças da morte na Pastoral da Criança."

ABSTRACT
In order to answer the society demands the journalistic text has evolved since it emerged in large scale starting in century XV. The interpretation form to write has still been improved and it gives an origin to a text closer to the real one. This search for the precision and immersion of the reader in the fact it characterizes as a baptism chain called new journalism. Gay Talese and Tom Wolfe are precursory authors of the new jornalism that it appears in the United States in the 60?s and arrives in Brazil as literary journalism. This concept uses the elements of literature in the news reconstruction, to get a picture of subject for the reader and to rescue the citizenship ideals that involve the process of communication. This way of writing gains each day more spaces in periodicals, magazines, especially it gathers readers who identify themselves with the quality of the text. One of the branches of literary journalism is the book-news article that surpasses the limits of the factual fact and joins in depth what the subject requires with the quality and the slightness of the writing. To execute the stages of book-news production it was chosen as subject "Child?s Pastoral" who is for 26 years working to lower the victims of mortality and infantile malnutrition. The movement has thousands of volunteers that through simple and cheap methodology, reach impressive n umbers. This project was divided in two parts: the theoretical concepts and discussion from journalism until the literary source and the practical part which is the production of the book: "Come back to life - the fight of those who aid to save children from death, through Child?s Pastoral."
