A EDUCAÇÃO CIDADÃ E OS PROJETOS DE EXTENSÃO UNIVERSITÁRIA: possíveis caminhos para uma inclusão social

RESUMO O objetivo deste trabalho é conduzir uma reflexão crítica sobre as potencialidades existente nos projetos de extensão universitária no que tange à promoção da inclusão social através de trabalhos ancorados em uma educação cidadã. Para tanto será utilizado como exemplo ilustrativo o trabalho realizado pelo projeto de extensão “Promovendo a cidadania através da inclusão de pessoas com deficiência”. Este projeto, realizado no Centro de Referência e apoio à Educação Inclusiva (CRAEDI), é direcionado aos usuários do serviço que incluem pessoas com deficiências e seus pais. A equipe multidisciplinar que desenvolveu as atividades é composta por professores e alunos dos cursos de direito, psicologia e sistemas da informação da Univale. As palestras, oficinas e debates realizados durante os oito meses do projeto contribuíram para promover diálogos que permitiram o resgate da cidadania dos usuários do serviço. O Projeto forneceu para pais e filhos um espaço de convivências onde foi possível avançar no sentido do desenvolvimento da autonomia das crianças e adolescentes com deficiência, a partir dos interesses, demandas e potencialidades de cada um de maneira lúdica, sociocultural e educativa.

ABSTRACT The aim of this work is to conduct a critical reflection on the existing strengths in university extension projects regarding the promotion of social inclusion through work anchored in a citizenship education. For that will be used as illustrative example the work of the extension project "Promoting citizenship through inclusion of people with disabilities". This project, conducted by the Center for Reference and supporting Inclusive Education (CRAEDI), is directed to the service users that include people with disabilities and their parents. The multidisciplinary team that developed the activities consists of professors and students of law, psychology and systems of Univale information. The lectures, workshops and discussions during the eight months of the project helped to promote dialogue that allowed the recovery of citizenship of the service users. The Project provided for parents and children living together in a space where it was possible to proceed towards the developing autonomy of children and adolescents with disabilities, based on the interests, needs and potential of each of playful, sociocultural and educational way. Through university extension projects as presented in this work, it is expected that social inclusion of people with special needs to occur not only as a legislative obligation, but as a manifestation of all social reflection (this, result of an education citizen) imbued in their contours.
